MAVERICKS ADD THREE MORE FOR 2010-11 SEASON
Lafrance, Mifflen and Wakita sign with Mavs
INDEPENDENCE, Missouri – Missouri Mavericks Head Coach Scott Hillman announced Monday the Central Hockey League (CHL) club has signed forward Toby Lafrance and defensemen Chris Mifflen and Mike Wakita. Lafrance and Mifflen return after playing for Missouri in the team’s inaugural season and Wakita enters his rookie season in the CHL.
“We are very excited about our first six signings for next season,” said Mavericks’ President and General Manager Brent hiessen. “In our most recent group of signings, we have added scoring, and introduced two solid players on the blue line who give us a great presence.”

Lewis and Vandermeer return, Filion signs with Mavs
INDEPENDENCE, Missouri – Missouri Mavericks Head Coach Scott Hillman announced at a press conference today at Independence Events Center the Mavericks have signed the first three players for the 2010-11 season. Forwards Carlyle Lewis and Bill Vandermeer return after playing for Missouri in the team’s inaugural season, and forward Olivier Filion was introduced as the newest member of the Central Hockey League (CHL) club.

MAVERICKS COMPLETE 2009-10 TRADES
INDEPENDENCE, Missouri – Missouri Mavericks Head Coach Scott Hillman announced today the Central Hockey League (CHL) team has completed all of the trades from the 2009-10 season. Missouri has acquired defensemen Matt Hanson and Andrew Winnik from the Arizona Sundogs and defenseman Jim Henkemeyer from the Tulsa Oilers. The Mavericks have also dealt forward Jeff MacDermid to the Wichita Thunder to finalize a deal that brought Andrew Davis to the Mavericks.
Hanson, Henkemeyer and Winnik are now on the Mavericks’ protected list; however the team still must sign all three players for the 2010-11 season. Missouri will announce the first three player signings for the 2010-11 season on Friday, May 15 at a press conference at Independence Events Center at 11:30 a.m. All media and fans are invited to attend the event.
