Lamar Hunt Jr.
Lamar Hunt, Jr. is the Owner of the Missouri Mavericks professional hockey team. He is also founder of Loretto Properties, LLC, a real estate investment company specializing in the operation and management of residential properties, as well as Loretto Foundation, LLC, a private charitable organization. Brent is entering his eighth season overseeing the day-to day operations of the Front Office and Hockey Operations of the Missouri Mavericks. He has led the Mavericks since the beginning of the franchise and has led the team to four repeat Franchise of the Year awards. As he enters his 13th season working in professional hockey, he has won several awards including the Executive of the Year award three times (twice with the Mavericks), three time Corporate Sales Executive of the year winner, N.Thomas Berry Commitment Cup Winner for outstanding service and dedication to the league. Brent has won two championships, one with Colorado and one with Arizona. He has been involved in the start-up of three franchises from the beginning with Colorado, Arizona and Missouri.
His previous positions include the Director of Corporate Marketing for NHL's Florida Panthers, President of the Arizona Sundogs (CHL), and he the Vice President of the Colorado Eagles for two seasons. Brent is from Littleton, Colorado and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in finance. He currently resides in Grain Valley with his wife, Nicki, and their two daughters, Katie and Emma, and two sons, Alex and Andrew.
Vice President of Sales
Todd comes to the Mavericks having previously spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Northland Sports Alliance-- a local youth sports league. He currently serves as the Vice President of Sales, after the past 5 years as Director of Corporate Sales for the Mavericks. In this capacity, Todd is responsible for overseeing all Missouri Mavericks sales initiatives. Todd hails from Kansas City, MO and attended Northwest Missouri State University and UMKC where he received degrees in Marketing and a Master’s in Business Administration. He currently resides in the Westwood Park area of Kansas City with his wife, Lauren and his loyal dogs, Peeler and Rockne.
Director of Business Development
Jaimie is from Blue Springs, MO, via Melbourne, Australia. She is has dual citizenship with half of her family being on the opposite side of the world. Jaimie received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fashion Communication from Stephens College and is currently working on her Masters Degree in Stategic Leadership. During her undergrad, Jaimie was a dual-sport athlete as a member of the swimming and volleyball teams. She currently lives in the South Plaza area of Kansas City.
Director of Game Operations
Steve is a native of Portland, OR and got his start in professional sports entrainment in 2006 with an exhibition game between the Seattle Mariners and the Triple-A Portland Beavers. Working in his home town, he spent three seasons as the Game Operations Manager for the WHL Portland Winterhawks, Game Day Director and Music Op for the Portland Timbers for ten seasons and worked in a similar role for the Triple-A Portland Beavers for six seasons until the team moved to California. He attended Portland State University where he studied Technical Theater and Video Production. He now calls Kansas City home and enjoys exploring his new neighborhood in the Plaza.
Director of Ticket Sales
Jared joined the Mavericks front office in 2014 having worked prior to that for Sprint Center and the Kansas City T-Bones. He currently serves as the Director of Ticket Sales after the past 2 years as Account Executive. In this capacity he oversees all season ticket and group sales initiatives. Jared hails from Detroit, attended Central Michigan University and spent 8 years refereeing pro and college hockey. He currently resides in Lee’s Summit with his wife Monica.
Director of Finance
Zach joins the Missouri Mavericks as the Director of Finance. Originally from Kansas City, Zach graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a dual emphasis in Finance and Real Estate. Zach completed the MBA program at UMKC’s Henry W. Bloch School of Management with an Entrepreneurship emphasis and Management emphasis. Prior to joining the Mavericks, Zach worked for AEG / Sprint Center in the Finance Department for seven years. Zach is a loyal Kansas City sports and Kansas Athletics fan and spends his free time with family/friends, working-out, cooking, and enjoying Kansas City’s many attractions. Zach currently resides in Kansas City with his wife Leah.
Director of Community Relations
Tim is entering his second season as the Manager of Community Relations with the Missouri Mavericks. Prior to joining the Mavericks, Tim served as the Coordinator of Community Outreach with the Lexington Legends (South Atlantic League, affiliate of the Kansas City Royals). Additionally, he brings experience in the Community Relations Departments of the Toronto Blue Jays Florida Operations, Kansas City Chiefs and Binghamton Senators (AHL). Tim is from Binghamton, NY, and graduated from Temple University with a degree in Sport and Recreation Management. Tim is an avid fan of the Islanders Yes! Yes! Yes! Movement and enjoys supporting the country music career of his brother, Frank Vieira.
Senior Account Executive
Chris comes to the Mavericks with a wealth of Kansas City sports experience. He has previously worked for the Comets (MISL) and the Blades of the old International Hockey League. He also worked two seasons with the Kansas City Brigade. Chris is originally from Akron, Ohio and earned his degree at the University of Akron. He lists his favorite team as the Denver Broncos of which he is a current season ticket holder. He currently resides in the Northland and likes golf, bowling, chess and traveling.
John is a recent graduate of the University of Missouri, where he earned his Journalism degree with an emphasis in Strategic Communication. While attending Mizzou, John worked as a student manager for the men’s basketball team. In addition to his passion for Mizzou athletics, John is an avid Royals and Chiefs fan. In his free time, John enjoys spending time with family at Table Rock Lake, hitting the golf course with friends or reliving his high school glory days playing pick-up basketball.
Director of Client Services
Karson graduated from Emporia State University in 2015 with a degree in Marketing. During her time at Emporia, she completed an internship with the (then) Missouri Mavericks which lead to her current position as the Director of Client Services. She is the liaison for all season ticket holders, groups and fans of the organization. In her free time, she enjoys watching the Mavs, KC Royals, KC Chiefs and especially enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and puppy Ace.
Bob is a native of Kansas City and has lived in Independence since 1981. After his first season with the Mavericks, Rennison was honored by the CHL by winning the Ralph Backstrom Soul of Service award which recognizes outstanding community and customer service. He has worked all over the sports/media landscape in Kansas City. Prior to joining the Mavericks, Bob was the master control operator at Channel 50 in Kansas City. He has previously worked as the play-by-play announcer for the Topeka Tarantulas (CHL), Topeka ScareCrows (CHL), Wichita Thunder (CHL), Kansas City Knights (ABA) and Kansas City Attack (NISL). Bob has been the voice of Avila University Athletics since 2002. He received his degree in communication studies from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Bob and his wife, Abbie, have one daughter, Pattie, and two sons, Michael and Luke.
Team Store Manager
Kara McAfee is a native of Suwanee, Georgia, who moved to Missouri in 2011 for a nanny position. Since then, she has loved getting to know the sport of hockey and working in the Team Store. She feels very blessed to have met some of her best friends through the wonderful family of the Orange Army. When she’s not cheering on her favorite KC teams, she loves to spend time trying new things and traveling to new places and to visit family.
Public Address Announcer
Steve Garrett has been the Mavericks Public Address Announcer since their inception seven years ago! As a matter of fact, Steve started his Stadium Announcing career with the IHL’s Kansas City Blades from 1990-2001 (their entire existence in Kansas City). Steve was also the PA Announcer for the Kansas City Outlaws. He has been the only voice of Kansas City hockey for the last 27 years. Steve was voted as the best Public Address in the CHL the last 2 years and first runner-up the two previous years before that. You can also hear Steve on 101 The Fox on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-3pm. He has been a staple on Kansas City radio for the last 38 years! Steve is a Kansas City native who actually taught himself how to skate at age 32. He has been a goaltender in the Kansas City Men's Leagues for 27 years. Steve is married to wife Rhonda and has a daughter Lexi who regularly attend Mavericks games.
